## Initiate Checkout Tracking via Utmify Pixel

### Prerequisite

The Utmify Pixel must already be installed on your page. If you haven't installed it yet, check the Pixel installation tutorial for your traffic platform first: [Setting up Pixel Utmify](/central-de-ajuda/help-center/pixel-utmify/setting-up-pixel-utmify.md).

### Where to find the setting

Go to Integrations > Pixel, click the three dots on your pixel and then Edit data. Scroll down to "Initiate Checkout Rule" and set it to Enabled. Then choose one of the four detection methods below.

### Method 1 — By button TEXT

Triggers Initiate Checkout when the clicked button contains the text you provide.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Click "Inspect"

On your sales page, right-click and select "Inspect".
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Select the button

In the panel that opens, click the element selector icon (an arrow inside a small square) and click your purchase button.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Copy the button text

Copy the button text directly from the inspector. Important: copy it from there, do not retype it — sometimes the text has different formatting or capitalization than what appears on screen, and that can break the tracking.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Paste and save

Paste the text into the rule field and save.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Multiple buttons or multiple pages with the same pixel: use just one word common to all buttons instead of the full text. Example: if you have the buttons "Buy now", "I want to buy" and "Buy", configure only the word "Buy", so the rule catches all three.
{% endhint %}

### Method 2 — By checkout URL

Switch the detection rule to "Contains URL". Triggers when the button leads to a URL that contains the provided string.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Inspect the button

Inspect the button the same way (right-click > Inspect > element selector) and find your checkout link.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Paste the link and save

Paste that link into the rule field and save.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Multiple offers/checkouts on the same page: use the string common to all URLs. Normally this is the checkout domain — delete everything after the slash and leave only the domain, since all URLs share the same domain and only differ at the end.
{% endhint %}

### Method 3 — By CSS class

Recommended when you have multiple buttons and your page platform allows you to assign a class to them.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Create the class

Create the class on the buttons inside your page platform.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Select the rule type

In the rule, select "Contains CSS".
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Copy and save

Copy the class you used and paste it into the field. Save.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Method 4 — Via S2S Postback

{% hint style="info" %}
Available only for some sales platforms: Buygoods, Clickbank, and Cartpanda. When using one of these, prefer S2S.
{% endhint %}

For all of them, the first step is the same: go to Integrations > Pixel > three dots > Edit data, scroll down to Initiate Checkout, set it to Enabled, select "S2S Postback" and save. Then configure it in the platform's dashboard:

### Buygoods

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Copy the checkout script

In your Buygoods integration inside Utmify, copy the checkout script.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Paste into Funnels and Pixels

In Buygoods, go to the campaign > Settings > scroll down to "Funnels and Pixels".
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Save

Paste the script into the checkout field. Save.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Clickbank

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Copy the Initiate Checkout URL

In Webhooks, click the three dots on your Clickbank webhook > Edit. Copy the Initiate Checkout URL.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Access Postbacks Pixels

In Clickbank, scroll down to Integrations, click the arrow and then "Postbacks Pixels".
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add the integration

Click "Add Integration" > "Custom Postback Pixel". Give it a name (e.g. "IC UTMify").
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Select the account and event

Select the account where the IC should fire (e.g. global level) and select the event "Initial Order".
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Paste the URL and save

Paste the copied URL and save.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Cartpanda — Affiliate

You will have already completed the S2S integration (the same one used to receive IC and affiliate sales).

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the affiliate area

In Cartpanda, go to Admin > scroll down to Tracking/Script > "View as affiliate".
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Find the Utmify integration

Scroll down to your Utmify integration (the one you already set up to receive sales).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Mark the event

Scroll down to the events and select "Fire Initiate Checkout". Save.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Cartpanda — Producer

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Copy the S2S affiliate URL

In Utmify Webhooks, click the three dots > Edit and copy the S2S affiliate URL (even if you are a producer, this is the URL used to track IC).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Open seller mode

In Cartpanda, go to Admin > Tracking and Script > "View as seller".
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Create the integration

Click "New integration". Give it a name (e.g. "IC UTMify") and select Utmify as the service.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Paste the Postback URL

Paste the URL into the "Postback URL" field.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Leave only Initiate Checkout checked

Keep the integration active, uncheck all other events and leave only "Initiate Checkout" checked. Save.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}
