# Meta Ads errors

## 1. INCOMPLETE CREATIVE / REEL OR VIDEO UNAVAILABLE

#### Identified cause

The video/Reel used in the ad has an invalid ID, is corrupted, unavailable, or lacks usage permission.

#### Solution

* Create a new ad
* Re-upload the video to the Ad Account
* Avoid using old assets from the media library

## 2. IMAGE NOT FOUND

#### Identified cause

The image used in the creative is not accessible or the image\_hash is invalid.

#### Solution

* Re-upload the ad image
* Use a new file
* Avoid using old assets from the media library

## 3. FAILED TO GENERATE AD CREATIVE

#### Identified cause

Secondary error caused by an invalid asset (image, video, post, or IG).

#### Solution

* Validate the creative files
* Recreate the ad from scratch
* Re-upload the assets

## 4. PROMOTED POST UNAVAILABLE

#### Identified cause

Invalid object\_story\_id or post removed/unpublished.

#### Solution

* Check if the post still exists
* Select a different post
* Create a new ad without using an existing post

## 5. AD ACCOUNT DOES NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT

#### Identified cause

Instagram not correctly linked to the Page/BM or missing ad account permission.

#### Solution

* Link Instagram to the page
* Ensure Ad Account access is granted
* Reconnect Instagram if necessary

## 6. CUSTOM AUDIENCE UNAVAILABLE

#### Identified cause

Custom Audience deleted, not shared, or invalid.

#### Solution

* Remove unavailable audiences
* Select new valid audiences
* Recreate the audience if necessary

## 7. YOU MUST ALSO SELECT INSTAGRAM EXPLORE

#### Identified cause

explore\_home was selected without selecting explore.

#### Solution

* Add the Instagram Explore placement
* Remove the Explore home page placement

## 8. NO ADVERTISER INFORMATION FOR ADS IN TAIWAN

#### Identified cause

Campaign targeting Taiwan without a verified advertiser.

#### Solution

* Remove Taiwan from targeting
* Set up a verified advertiser

## 9. USER DOES NOT HAVE PERMISSION FOR THIS ACTION

#### Identified cause

User/token without edit permission on the ad account.

#### Solution

* Validate user access
* Generate a new Token with the correct permissions configured
* Confirm Business Manager link

## 10. INVALID BREAKDOWNS

#### Identified cause

Invalid combination between metrics, breakdowns, and query level.

#### Solution

* Remove incompatible Breakdown
* Adjust the query level
* Review the metrics being used
